Tough audience

5 Nov

On Tuesday, we sat down with the RJI director of communications and four of his staff members to show them our progress. We were hoping to leave the meeting with permission to start posting content. We were wrong.

The group drilled us with questions about iTunes U demographics (they only release them to schools who participate), costs, categories, maintenance of the site, marketing and branding. For 45 minutes we defended our decisions and explained everything we knew about iTUnes U while taking notes about research still in question.

We quickly realized how much we have left to do and how little we have control of many of the bureaucratic issues of the University.

As soon as we get the log-in information, we are going to upload a few tests. Next week we will work on sorting through the content and deciding what will go up first.
