Mo Conservation

Today Allison and I drove down to Jeff  City to meet with Peg and Karen again. I really like both of them and I think they have a lot of fun ideas, but I’m sad that I only get to spend 5 more weeks with them. They have lots of ideas that need developing and time. Allison and I decided that we want to start small and work on larger projects in the background.

I’m pairing up with Brent, who works on improving quail habitat in Missouri, to start a blog and maybe a twitter! I’m excited for this project and I think it will broaden my skill set as a journalist.

This week I’m going to spend more time soliciting information and sharing for the blog! It’s aimed at reaching the 18-25 age range that the MDC doesn’t tap into at all. It’s slow getting started, but I think it will grow and hopefully I can pass it to the next interns after this semester. I’m also working on some PSAs and maybe a radio story too.
